Most pro wrestlers are already 'characters' in their own right, which is why we think some of them would make an easy transition to the big screen. A few notable actors to have got their start on the mat, including Dave Batista and the Rock, are just two examples of wrestlers with the proper chops for the big time.
So if it were up to us, these are some pro-wrestlers we think would make great castings in video game movies.

1.
Goldberg/Kratos - Anyone who has played the original God Of War and many who haven't are aware of how Kratos is. He is a murderer who wants to obliterate every Greek god in the name of revenge. The way he fights, his intensity, and the level of destruction are awfully similar to Goldberg's. But that is not it. Kratos and Goldberg look visually similar as well. The bald head, physique, and anger are so similar. We can't say for certain, but Goldberg might have inspired the concept behind Kratos, and would surely portray him well on screen. -
2.
John Cena/Superman - There's no secret why John Cena was called Super Cena in the last few years of his main run. The guy defeated everyone, as nobody was able to find his Kryptonite, so to say. Mostly because he was the star child of wrestling for the better part of a decade. There's "Superman" written all over this guy, and he can easily play the role if Henry Cavill ever steps aside. -
3.
Batista/ Marcus Fenix - Gears of War fans know just how massive these armored characters are, and Batista would be the perfect pro wrestler to play Marcus Fenix in a Gears of War live-action film. he's already an accomplished actor, with appearances in the MUC and Blade Runner 2049. With a near-identical face and a jacked-up body, he is the obvious choice. -
4.
Charlotte Flair/ Bayonetta - Ric Flair's daughter is gifted with the genetics that makes her the queen of combat. There's an uncanny resemblance between Bayonetta and Charlotte, and with a solid set of acting skills, she'd be a great fit to play Bayonetta. -
5.
Cesaro/ James Bond - The Swiss superman is a great candidate to be James Bond. He has the perfect build to play Bond. He's calm, collected, and extremely agile when needed. In fact, the guy can also play Frank Martin if WWE ever plans their version of The Transporter. -
6.
The Rock/ Doom Guy - The Rock has already been featured in a Doom flick. However, the way that movie was done is pretty off from modern-day video games. The Rock can easily play Doom Guy if a movie were to be made on the new Doom games. His physique and his ability to lay the Smackdown will come in handy in destroying the monsters into a pile of shredded meat. -
7.
Sting/ The Joker - While we already have some of the best Joker performances from Mark Hamill, Joaquin Phoenix, and Heath Ledger, Sting would be our pick for a Joker Smackdown spin-off. Let's say; hypothetically, if they ever needed a pro wrestler to play a big and strong Joker, it can be Sting. In fact, the man has once incorporated Joker in his onscreen character, which was a bit caricaturish. Maybe a more silent type Joker will fit him better. -
8.
Ricochet/ Tim Drake - Who else could play Tim Drake if not Ricochet? Acrobatics, check, theatrics, check, fighting skills, check. Not only are they relatively the same size and possess the same set of skills, but if you squint your eyes they even look the same. It's the obvious choice. -
9.
Jake Hager/ B.J. Blazkowicz - The old Jake Hager from WWE was probably not the best guy to play Wolfenstein's lead character. However, the much improved MMA Jake Hager is the perfect man to play Blazkowicz. -
10.
Mickey James/ Tomb Raider - The resemblance between young Mickey James and modern-day Lara Croft is uncanny. Moreover, the lady is still capable of playing Lara Croft, especially considering her current athleticism and looks. Though the fan-favorite would probably be Ronda Rousey, she's our second choice for Lara Croft. -
11.
Triple H/ Max Payne - Back in the day, Triple H looks like he could easily play the role of He-Man. However, the modern-day Triple H is more like Max Payne from the third game. The deep voice and battle scars on Triple H's face lend themselves to a more authentic Max Payne experience. -
12.
Seth Rollins/ Joseph Seed - There's really something odd about Seth Rollins' sort of religious character that came after the release of Far Cry 5. That is because it's almost similar to Joseph Seed, the main antagonist of the game. And since Seth was able to deliver that, it's pretty obvious he would nail Joseph Seed's role in a live-action Far Cry 5 movie. -
13.
CM PUNK/ Prince Of Persia - The modern-day Punk may be drastically different from Prince Of Persia. But going back to his ECW days, the man was almost Prince of Persia, minus the piercings. He had the same flowy hair, per strikingly similar goatee, and the size to play Prince. -
14.
Ronda Rousey/ Aloy - You knew she'd be on this list somewhere. The former UFC champ is badass in every sense of the word, and she would be a great choice to play Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West and Zero Dawn. If we consider visual similarities only, the two are a match, but taking into account Alyo's presence and story, Rousey would certainly portray the characters well.
